While many may consider yoga a way to lose weight or to find relaxation, cancer patients can get big benefits from the practice. Gentle yoga strengthens the immune system and softens some of the effects of cancer treatment. A regular practice can help the body rid itself of toxin build up from chemotherapy. Yoga also helps to enhance our emotional and psychological wellbeing by releasing tension, stress, and anxiety. Come join Miranda for an hour of gentle yin and hatha yoga. She will teach simple poses and breathing exercises that you can do at home to help with your recovery.
This class is for ladies only.
The session is open to all and free of charge; prior registration is required.
